What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. They help sites function, remember preferences, measure traffic, and — when set by advertisers — measure or personalize ads.
Cookies we use
Essential cookies
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set strictly necessary security cookies (for example, to tell people from malicious bots). These cannot be switched off through our site, and they store no personal profile about you.
Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to count visits and see, in aggregate, which pages are useful. We also use Ahrefs Web Analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics, which count page views without cookies. This data is not used to identify you personally. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on.
Advertising cookies (third-party)
Advertisements and sponsored partner links on our site may involve third-party cookies set by the advertising network or partner, used to measure clicks and conversions or to personalize ads. We do not control these cookies, and they are governed by the third party's own privacy policy.
What our cookies are not used for
Our on-site tools and calculators do not use cookies to store your answers. Tool inputs are processed in your browser during your visit and are not persisted by us.
Your choices
- Browser settings: Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies. Blocking all cookies may affect how some parts of the site work.
- Ad personalization opt-outs: You can opt out of many personalized advertising cookies at aboutads.info and networkadvertising.org.
- Global Privacy Control: Where required by applicable law, we honor recognized browser opt-out signals.
Changes
We may update this policy as our cookie usage changes; the "Last updated" date reflects the current version.
